Success Story

“Thank you for helping me get on my feet again to go home.”

Mr. Donath had been experiencing some shortness of breath and decreased endurance. He was sent to the hospital for further assessment. They concluded he had a substantial case of pneumonia. After the initial treatment at the hospital to address his medical condition Mr. Donath was still very weak and required continued rehabilitation to return home again. Mr. Donath had elected to come to the Pavilion as he had previously been here for rehabilitation and had great success with the therapy program which allowed him to return home. When he first arrived, he required one person assistance to stand, transfer, and complete daily functional tasks.

With hard work and dedication to get home he was able to work from needing assistance with every transfer and daily task all the way to managing tasks with little to no assistance. Being a light of sarcasm and fun in the gym Mr. Donath helped others accomplish goals in therapy. He worked intently on the goals that he had set for himself to return home, and he had accomplished what was needed to return home. “I love working with the girls in therapy here.” He stated that he will certainly miss the staff in therapy and the facility who helped him get home.
